We’re proud to be from the North. We’re equally proud to shout about other agencies, industry experts and those pushing the boundaries to demonstrate courageous creativity, improve human connections and understand proof of value.
So, here’s a round-up of some of our favourites from August!
- Liverpool video game developer Firesprite has secured a global licensing and distribution deal with entertainment giant Sony for its new virtual reality game The Persistence. The deal will see Sony take exclusive ownership over the licence and global distribution of The Persistence on PlayStation VR (PSVR), which has already received a raft of praise in reviews from across the games community!
- Yorkshire based gin and whisky producer, Cooper King Distillery, has made its first donation through its partnership with a local environmental charity. After pledging to donate 2.5% of its annual gin sales to Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT) the local business have now made their first quarterly donation. Through the partnership with YDMT, every bottle of gin sold will support the planting of native broadleaf woodlands across the Yorkshire Dales, helping to create vibrant wildlife habitats, reduce flooding and create beautiful places that promote health and wellbeing… Talk about doing things properly!
- House My Dog, the online service that matches dog owners with suitable, hand-picked sitters and walkers, has launched in Manchester. House My Dog expects to create up to 4,500 paid dog sitter/walker jobs across Greater Manchester in the next 2 years, as well as solving a problem experienced by many.
- BT is to create 200 permanent roles for the North East, including 80 in South Shields, 70 in Newcastle and 50 in Middlesbrough. The news comes as part of the company’s strategy to provide better customer service and commitment to answer 100% of customer calls in UK and Ireland call centres by 2020.
Overall another great month for the North, stay tuned for more updates!
